UOCCHI tells a story of archetypes of time within yourself and how you construct and adapt yourself to your surroundings with periods of regression that pull from nostalgia. This is a portal that acts as an entryway to both the future + the past. Finding yourself and missing what it once was. The title “Uocchi” draws its inspiration from two distinct sources: the Italian word for eye, symbolizing the window to the soul, and the childhood toy Tamagotchi. However, it bears a closer resemblance to “Uotch,” derived from the English word “watch,” signifying the passage of time. This fusion of influences serves to evoke a sense of nostalgia and regression, highlighting the interconnectedness of past experiences and present perceptions.
