I’m Aaliyah Sansone, a multidisciplinary creative working across graphic design, photography, and fashion. I use visuals to explore how identity is shaped, and sometimes warped, by culture, media, and the things we consume. I earned my BFA from Ball State University, where I studied Photography and Graphic Design with a minor in Fashion Industries. As a first-generation Latinx artist, my work is rooted in storytelling, especially the kind that challenges surface-level narratives. I’m drawn to contradiction: authenticity vs. performance, value vs. vanity, visibility vs. censorship. My practice often questions how self-image is constructed, and commodified, in a world obsessed with appearances. I’m especially passionate about magazine publication and editorial work, spaces where design, direction, fashion, and photography come together to shape culture. Influenced by internet aesthetics, pop culture, and the complexities of being young and online, I create bold visuals with layered meaning. I want my work to make people pause, think, and feel something real. Let’s make something that says something.
